Community Health Champions
Temple Street Methodist Church (TSMC) has been invited to be part of Stoke-on-Trent’s network of Community Health Champions.
Community Health Champions are local adults that volunteer to improve the health of people in Stoke-on-Trent.
The network of Community Health Champions 
• are well informed.
• they share clear and accurate health information with others.
• most importantly, Champions help to answer people’s concerns about COVID-19, and other health matters.
The Role
The role of a Community Health Champion is all about talking with people, and most importantly, sharing good information on health-related matters. It’s not about enforcement and ‘policing’ people’s activities. Instead, Champions lead by sharing health messages in a friendly and helpful way.
TSMC’s Community Health Champion’s Co-ordinator is Rachel Parkes. Rachel has worked in the Health & Social Care Industry for 15 years and is qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care. She will be keeping our community informed of current healthcare matters.
